Betty Virginia Parkinson, 83 of Piketon, Ohio, died Thursday April 12, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon.
She was born May 22, 1928 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Samuel W. Miller and Anna Radabaugh Miller. On June 17, 1946, Betty was united in marriage to Paul Richard Parkinson, Sr. who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Paul R. Parkinson, Jr. and wife Gail of Waverly, Ohio, three daughters, Carol Zack and husband David of London, Ohio, Debra Emler and husband Dan of Englewood, Florida, Terrye Osborn and husband Charles of Piketon, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, a sister, Evelyn Franks and husband Steven of Uniontown, and a brother, Ben Miller.
In addition to her parents, three sisters, Annabelle, Daisy and Nellie as well as two brothers, Harry and Tom preceded Betty in death.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday April 16, 2012 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Minister, Bob Brownell officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. Monday until the service.
