Edgar LeRoy Cooper, 82, of South Shore, Kentucky, died 4:50 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 in Traditions at Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio.
He was born December 1, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late Craddock and Garnet Cooper.
Surviving are a special loved one, Brenda Brewer of South Shore, KY; 2 daughters, Rosanne Cooper and Doug Alley of Chillicothe, OH and Mary Helen Seymour of Portsmouth, OH; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 9 step grandchildren; 4 step children, Gary Dale and Donna Brewer of Lucasville, OH, Sherry Gunter and Scott Neal of West Portsmouth, OH, Jimmy and Janie Brewer of Lucasville, OH, Betty Royster and John Bowling of Lucasville, OH; 1 brother, Maurice and Juanita Cooper of Victorville, CA; 2 sisters, Patsy and Russ Schouster of Minford, OH and Tess Ann Rollins of West Portsmouth, OH and 1 sister-in-law, Gwen Cooper of Wheelersburg, OH.
In addition to his parents, wife, Mary Lou Stinson, son, Berdie Keith Seymour, brother, Barney Cooper and brother-in-law, Jerry Rollins preceded Edgar in death.
Edgar was a self-employed construction worker.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the First Apos Church, 1220 Rosemont, Portsmouth, Ohio with Rev. Don Hammond officiating.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
