Cheryle Kay Vallery
Cheryle Kay Vallery, 60, of Piketon, Ohio died Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born October 6, 1949 in Jackson, Ohio, daughter of the late James Lewis and Norma Lee Callahan Stevison. On May 17, 1983, Cheryle was united in marriage to Richard Eugene Vallery, Sr. who preceded her in death on December 21, 2009.
Surviving are three children, Mary Mead and husband Josh of Piketon, Kevin Vallery of Piketon and Katie Thomas and husband Eric of Piketon; three step children, Sheila Van de Bunte of Los Angeles, California, Teresa Gilmore and husband Scott of Altoona, Florida, and Richard E. Vallery, Jr. and wife Pam of Piketon; four grandchildren, Brian Sretenovic, Patrick Sretenovic, Zachary Sretenovic and Emily Mead; seven step grandchildren, Shane Spencer, Amy Robertson, Heather Rhinesmith, Christy Nolan, Jennifer Hanson, Jason Vallery, and Joshua Adams, 20 great grandchildren and several foster children and grandchildren; five brothers, John Stevison and wife Hope of Chillicothe, Ohio, Jack Stevison and wife Clara of Coalton, Ohio, Bill Stevison and wife Marlene of Jackson, Ohio, Gary Stevison and wife Donna of Springfield, Ohio and Jamie Stevison of Jackson and one sister, Cinda Walker and husband Sonny of Jackson.
In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Kevin J. Stevison and a sister, Leesa Newkirk Dixon preceded Cheryle in death.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday March 12, 2010 at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home in Piketon with Paul F. Hornback officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4- 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
