James Oakland Blair
James Oakland Blair, 56, of Ebb Tomlin Road, Jackson, Ohio died 3:46 a.m. Saturday January 23, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.
He was born February 14, 1953 in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Gus Blair and Neva Mae Lyons Blair. On November 19, 1977 he was united in marriage to Lark E. Colley Blair who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Alondra Blair of Waverly, Ohio; Agusta Blair of Jackson; Asia Blair of Waverly; two grandchildren, Dameon Blair and Nicholas Leturgez, three brothers: Ozzie Blair of Pomeroy, Ohio; David Blair of Waverly, Ohio; Harry Blair and wife Evelyn of Peebles; three sisters: Mary Mustard and husband Leroy of Waverly; Harriett Blair of Peebles and Laura Wilburn and husband Homer of Peebles.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Timothy and Thomas Blair and a sister, Shirley Walker preceded Jim in death.
Jim was a Lift operator for Bellisio of Jackson and a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam Era.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 28, 2010 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Rev. Jeff May officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
