Opal Marie Easterday
Opal Marie Easterday, 92, of Denver Road, Waverly, Ohio, died 1:35 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 in Traditions at Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio.
She was born June 8, 1917 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky the daughter of the Samuel Stevens and Alice Sarah (Scaggs) Stevens. On October 16, 1943 Opal was united in marriage to Walter Edwin Easterday who preceded her in death on November 6, 2001.
Surviving is a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, six brothers, Floyd, Newton, Ison, Elmer, Woodrow and Emory Stevens and four sisters, Bertha Stevens, Myrtle Alenn, May Stevens and Zora Burton preceded Opal in death.
Opal was a farmer, homemaker and attended the New Covenant Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Elder Arvil C. Murray, Jr. and Elder Therman Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday.
