Rousaw Montgomery, 88, of Newland Ridge Road, Waverly, OH died 8:00 p.m. Tuesday 24 July 2012 at Pike Community Hospital, Waverly, OH.
He was born 23 December 1923 in Salyersville, KY the son of the late Harkless Montgomery and Hester (Cole) Montgomery. On 29 October 1943 he was united in marriage to Versie Marie Montgomery who preceded him in death on 4 June 2007.
Surviving are five sons, Darrell Montgomery and wife Mary, Pearl City, IL, Kindle Montgomery and wife Sharon, Larry Montgomery, Justin Montgomery and wife Linda and John Montgomery all of Waverly, OH, 2 daughters Gearlen Clark and husband George of Mansfield, OH and Jannett Roberts of Waverly, OH, 10 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, Three brothers, Hager Montgomery and Ollie both of Latham, OH and Sam Montgomery and wife Henrietta of Clyde, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Carma Jean Tagliaferro, five brothers, Matt, Ted, Roman, Russell and Esaw Montgomery and two sisters, Faye Hicks and Peachie Rigsby.
Rousaw was a member of the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church, a farmer and retired from ODOT with 30 years service.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday 28 July 2012 at Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Emerson Montgomery officiating. Burial will Follow on Mt Latham Cemetery, Waverly, OH.
Friends may call at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME, Waverly, OH, 4 - 8 p.m. Friday and from Noon until the service hour at the church on Saturday.
