Joseph “Joey” Overman

Joseph Joshua “ Joey” Overman, 29 of State Route 772, Waverly, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 21, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born July 29, 1982 to Janice Overman Sheets and stepfather Clayton sheets of Waverly.
Also surviving is a brother, Brian Overman and wife Kylie of Gulfport, Mississippi, one sister, Tammy Farmer and husband Buncy of Piketon, Ohio, five nephews, David Gonzales of Huntsville, Texas, Jason Gonzales and Cody Overman of Bryan Texas, Aedan Overman of Gulf Port and Jeremy Farmer of Piketon, as well as a niece Lacy Farmer of Piketon. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles, plenty of close friends, and several “adopted” nieces and nephews.
Joey was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Arizona Conley, one aunt Brenda Phipps, a cousin, Tommy Conley, a sister, Rebecca Gee and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Overman.
Joey was a fun loving person, who enjoyed being around family and friends. He loved joking around and just having a good time. He also loved being around animals and loved hunting. Joey was a great person, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 26, 2012 at the Boyer funeral Home in Waverly, with Bro. Boe Tackett, officiating. Burial will follow in Germany Cemetery, Beaver, Ohio.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
