Walter May Jr. of Malone Road, Chillicothe, OH died 9:10 a.m. Sunday at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, OH.
Walter was born 30 July 1946 in Waverly, OH, the son of the late Walter Jack May and Rose Elizabeth (Daniels) May. On 6 December 1969 he was united in marriage to Vera J. (Goodman) who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Kevin Lee May and wife Lorie and Michael Jason May and wife Michelle both of Chillicothe, OH, 5 grandchildren, Riley, Bailey and her mother Shannon Sisco. Hannah, Jonathon and Mikayla May,
Four brothers, Charles May and wife Ella of Nevada, OH, Kenneth May and wife Ginny of Sycamore, OH, Jeff May and wife Rhonda of Latham, OH and Rodney May and wife Donna of Upper Sandusky, OH, seven sisters, Nora Powers of Minford, OH, Joanne Blair of Carey, OH, Deborah Eigel of Upper Sandusky, OH, Sharon Norway and husband David of Findlay, OH, Vicki McDannell and husband Alvan of Carey, OH, Jennifer Leeth and husband Rick of Nevada, OH and Glenda Hannah and husband Clarence of Utica, OH. and special friends, the Oates Family.
His parents and three sisters, Ida Miller, Ruth Detty and Laura Cawley and a brother, Thomas May preceded Walter in death.
Walt was a retired Production Specialist for Kenworth, Corp. Chillicothe, OH and a member of the Ross County Sportsman and Wildlife Association.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday 13 July 2012 at BOYER FUNERAL HOME, Waverly, Ohio with Rev. Jared McKinney, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp Cemetery, Chillicothe, OH. Ross County Veterans Honor Guard, Chillicothe, OH, will conduct military graveside services.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the services hour on Friday.
