Everett E. Walls, 87 of Rainbow Trail, Waverly, Ohio died 12:30 a.m. Saturday July 7, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.
Everett was born May 17, 1925 on Walls Road, Pike County, Ohio, the son of the late Herbert Walls and Opal Myrtle (VanMeter) Walls. On February 1, 1947 he was united in marriage to Elsie L. (Lightle) Walls who survives.
Also surviving are son Dwight Walls and wife Mary Lou and daughter Rosetta Schaeffer and husband Steven both of Waverly, Ohio, four grandchildren, Stephanie Irvine, Mark Walls and wife April, Stephanie Gilbert and husband Chris and Stacy Kinnison and husband Harry, eight great grandchildren, Alexis, Katelin and Kyle Chancey, Madison and Chase Walls, Hunter and Caleb Gilbert and Walker Kinnison and one great great grandson, Cole Edward Lute and brother Frank Walls and wife Sandra of Waverly, OH.
His parents, brother, Walter Walls, sister, Leora Walls and a nephew Robert Walls preceded Everett in death.
Everett was a member of Mt Holy CCCU, was self employed in Farming and Timber, Veteran of WW II having served in the 240 Construction Eng. Bn. and a Member of American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, Ohio
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 10, 2012 at Mt Holy CCCU, Waverly, Ohio with Rev. Darby Beekman and Rev. Roy Carver, officiating. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery, Waverly, OH with military graveside services by American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, Ohio.
Friends may call at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME, Waverly, Ohio 4 - 8 p.m. Monday and from 10:30 a.m. until the services hour at the church on Tuesday.
