Alice Faye Sword Chastine Caplinger

Alice Faye Sword Chastine Caplinger, 103, formerly of Waverly, OH died 11:25 A.M. Thursday 7 June 2012 at Pleasant Hill Manor Piketon, OH.
She was born 28 February 1909 in Portsmouth, OH the daughter of the late Henry Clay Goodman and Mary Alice (Robbins) Goodman. On 13 October 1956 she was united in marriage to Charlie Walter Chastine who preceded her in death on 23 January 1979. On 14 February 1989 she was united in marriage to Theodore David Caplinger who preceded her in death on 19 March 1990.
Surviving are two sons. Paul sword and wife Gladys of Waverly, OH and Donald Sword and wife Anita of Woodstock, IL, two daughters, Geneva Blanton of Waverly, OH and Lorene Fulton of Columbus, OH, 10 Grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, 3 brothers, Shurl, Robert and Fred Goodman and 5 sisters, Opal Goodman, Darlene Goodman, Lena Christman, Pearl Ahrendt and Irene Hatfield preceded Alice in death.
Alice was a former waitress for the Emmitt House in Waverly, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, 11 June 2012 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly, OH with Pastor Jerry Powers, Officiating. Burial will follow in Waverly Evergreen Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Monday.
