Iva “Jean” Barch, 74, of Pike Street, Waverly, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born June 10, 1937 in Wayne, West Virginia, daughter of the late Robert L. Carrico and Mary Elizabeth (Spence) Carrico. On November 15, 1956, Jean was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Everett Barch who preceded her in death.
Surviving are five children, Kennith R. Barch and wife Toni, Douglas L. Barch, Pamela L. Brust and husband Danny, Sharon K. Bobo, and Diana Howard and husband Keith, all of Waverly, Ohio; six Grandchildren, Dannielle Richter, Jennifer Brust, Carrie Rhoden, Ryan Howard, Codey Barch, and Mary Howard; three Great Grandchildren, Tyler Richter, Matthew Richter, and Shelby Richter; and one brother, John Carrico of Barberton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Barch, Five Brothers, Vennard, Charles, Earl, Alvie, and Donald Carrico, and two sisters, Ruby Dameron, and Ruth Lee Maynard.
Jean was a member of the Waverly First Baptist Church, homemaker and Co-Owner of Barch’s Cycle.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Pastor Greg Schaffer Officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Monday.
