Earnest Evans

Earnest Evans, 95, of Pennington Road, Waverly, OH died 3:15 p.m. Saturday 19 May 2012 at his residence.
He was born 21 February 1917 in Webb, WV the son of the late Walter Evans and Bertha Pack Evans. On 11 April 1936, Earnest was united in marriage to Cordie Marie (Short) Evans who preceded him in death on 29 August 2000. Earnest was later united in marriage to Junnie (Williams) Evans on 29 December 2001, who survives
Also surviving are five sons, Taylor Evans and wife Sue of Circleville, OH, Claude Evans and wife Carol of Waverly, OH, Michael Evans and wife Theresa of Piketon, OH, Rick Evans and wife Glenda of Piketon, OH and Earnest Evans, Jr. and wife Angie of Waverly, OH, six daughters, Linda Anderson and husband Ronald of Waverly, OH, Sue Moore and husband James of Lancaster, OH, Shelby Davis and husband James of Waverly, OH, Cathy Houser and husband Donald of Chillicothe, OH, Joan Ward and husband Ronald of Waverly, OH and Regina Conley and husband Troy of Lancaster, OH, 21 grandchildren, 33 great grand children and 12 great great grand children, 5 stepdaughters and 1 stepson.
In addition to his parents and first wife, seven brothers and four sisters preceded Earnest in death.
Earnest was an Ordained Minister with the United Baptist Church a member of Concord United Baptist Church and attending Wakefield United Baptist Church, Veteran of WW II, U.S. Army and Retired from the N & W. Railroad and Chillicothe V.A. Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, 23 May 2012 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio, with Brother Earl Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly, OH.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 5 -8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
