Robert Arvil Dingus

Robert Arvil Dingus, 93, of Millstone Road, Beaver, Ohio, died 9:41 P.M. Friday May 4, 2012 at his home.
He was born September 9, 1918 in Williamsport, Ohio, son of the late Eugene Dingus and Goldie Eunice (Woodrow) Dingus. On October 17, 1941 Robert was united in marriage to Betty Jeanette (Ramsey), Dingus who preceded him in death on August 30, 2004.
Surviving are two sons, Danny Gene Dingus of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Lee Dingus and wife Hattie of Beaver, 11 Grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, Darlene Ferrell of Newcomerstown, Ohio, Kathy Dingus of Piketon, Ohio, a brother, Carl Dingus and wife Goldie of Mount Sterling, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, two sons, Robert Owen Dingus, David Daniel Dingus, a great granddaughter, Autumn Marie Clark, and three brothers, Saint Francis Dingus, Edward Oscar Dingus and Charles William Dingus, preceded Robert in death.
Robert was retired Heavy Equipment Operator and a WW II U.S. Army veteran.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday May 7, 2012 at Bailey Chapel Cemetery, Piketon with Carl Dingus, Jr. officiating. American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, Ohio, will conduct military graveside services.
Calling hours will not be observed.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly.
